Blades of Wrath is no longer investing time in Vanguard. Surprised? Yea we were too. After months of dedicated effort and a great deal of success we have been faced with the decision for our future. Many of us, like many of you, have grown tired of watching the developers tread water on the forums. We have lost patience with bugs that have persisted unaltered since APW launch, zone crashing, poor content design, and shit itemization. But of all these factors, none is as important to this decision as the current state of the population in Vanguard.
Scratching to the top of Vanguard raiding while suffering 90% attrition every six months has become a chore. No one is flourishing. There is no massive influx of players to ensure Vanguard's future, and the decisions made by SOE have not been aimed at correcting the problem anytime soon.
In light of these facts we have decided to leave rather than struggle through the next 6-8-10-12 months without new content. It is important to note that we still love Vanguard for the game it is, and the game it could be. Perhaps we will return, but for now, we must walk away. We wish the remaining VG guilds continued success.
Blades accomplishments need not be listed. As a final goodbye I leave you with a picture of a cohesive guild of dedicated members, evinced by their swarm of flying mounts.
